Executive Producer - Seattle
GameHouse has an opportunity for a Casual Games Executive Producer to manage the design and development of online and downloadable games. The Executive Producer will be responsible for budgeting & scheduling game development, managing the QA process, and preparing the product to be released to the general public. The Executive Producer will work closely with programmers, artists, sound designers, testers, and other key members within GameHouse and RealArcade.
Primary responsibilities include both managing and mentoring game Producers and working with the development team to create content opportunities for Gamehouse's and RealArcade's game sites. Qualifications include exceptionally strong management and communication skills, the ability to identify content that will sell, and strong creative thinking. Ideal candidates should have game development experience in casual games or online downloadable games. Requires minimum of 5-7 years relevant.
Mentor and manage 2-3 game producers. Responsible for tracking all games in development and making sure quality games are delivered on schedule. Communication with other key departments (Marketing, PR, etc…) and responsible for identifying and removing roadblocks for successful game development within the studio.
Manage projects from product conception and design through development and launch for downloadable and online games.
Manage production schedules to ensure agreed upon milestones are delivered on time, design documents are kept current, and budgets are maintained.
Work closely with team members to make sure they have what they need, they understand what and when their deliverables are, and that a high level of communication is maintained.
Review game design, and later into the development - review actual live gameplay - and provide direction with respect to all aspects of production, including art, UI, performance, game play balancing, difficulty level, platforms, and file sizes.
Assist in developing marketing materials to support product launches, including product descriptions, screen shots, banner ads, FAQs, and dedicated web pages.
Develop post-launch strategy for creating retail, mobile phone, international, and Mac ports.
Hitting measurable and achievable quarterly objectives as it relates to GameHouse's and RealArcade's strategy. Be responsible for delivering games on schedule and producing a positive ROI for the year.
Your profile:
- Manage team(s) and development resources effectively
- Management of other project managers and/or producers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills including scheduling, budgeting, and keeping projects on track
- Ability to work effectively in both individual and team settings

- Prior experience in producing PC games, preferably casual games or downloadable online games
- Strong technical knowledge to evaluate feasibility of design documents and tradeoffs when considering implementation plans

JR. Software Development Engineer - Seattle
We seek an organized and focused individual to help develop and deliver these titles. The SDE, Downloadable Games will be responsible for programming these games. This person will work closely with a small team to ensure on time delivery of high quality games. Duties include developing games using a cross-platform framework, finding and fixing bugs, and coordinating with other members of the team on development and delivery schedules.
The person in this role should ideally have been involved in shipping shrink-wrap software (either physically delivered or downloadable) with a consumer focus. Knowledge of C++ development is required. Experience creating games is a big plus.
Your profile:
- Minimum: Intermediate level C and C++ knowledge
- Experience with multiple delivery platforms (e.g. Windows and Mac OS X) is preferred
- Experience in Lua, OpenGL or DirectX is preferred
- BS Computer science, related degree or equivalent experience, MS is preferred
- Minimum: 3+ years engineering shrink-wrap software. Game development experience with multiple shipped titles is preferred.
